Monroe Community College (MCC)

Course Closed

March 5, 2020

The college has deemed the areas of the course no longer safe for public use secondary to the degree of dead ash trees. At this point the college cannot offer any insight to when and if the course will be reopened. Again, no one should be stepping foot on this course. We will update the disc golf community as we get more information from the college. For all of those that have spent time working on that course we cannot thank you enough!  We hope to have more answers soon.

The course maximizes the campus’ beautiful landscape — including the pond, field and back woods —making it enjoyable for players. It’s a great place to experience the sport for the first time, and it offers significant challenges for seasoned players.

Gold Course
Shorter basket placements using the yellow “gold” colored Innova DisCatcher baskets.

Black Course
Longer basket placements using the new black colored Innova DisCatcher baskets.

NOTE:  Parking is available along the course-side of the hockey rink/back entrance to Bill Gray’s.  The same tee pad is used for both sets of baskets.

College leaders at Monroe Community College tossed the “first disc” at the opening of MCC’s new disc golf course on All College Day, Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007 on the east side of the Brighton Campus. Faculty, staff and students attended the opening and learned more about the sport through a demonstration hosted by MCC’s Health and Physical Education Department.

In the Fall of 2013 a second set of 18 baskets (black) were added.

  • 18 Discatcher Baskets
  • Cement Tee Pads
