Lost and Found Policy

Greater Rochester Disc Golf Community (GRDGC) Lost and Found Policy

At the Greater Rochester Disc Golf Community (GRDGC), we value our players and their equipment. To help reunite players with lost discs, we have established the following Lost and Found Policy. By using the GRDGC Lost and Found services, you agree to the terms outlined below:

Encouragement to Label Discs

We encourage all players in our community to write their contact information (name, phone number, and/or email address) on their discs. Including your contact details increases the likelihood of being reunited with your disc if it is lost and turned in to a Lost and Found dropbox at any GRDGC-maintained disc golf course.

Authorization for GRDGC to Contact You

By writing your contact information on your disc, you are authorizing administrators of the GRDGC to contact you regarding your lost disc. GRDGC may contact you via the following methods:

  • Phone call
  • Text message
  • Email

This information will be used solely for the purpose of returning your lost disc.

Lost and Found Process

  1. Turning in Lost Discs:
    • Players who find a lost disc are encouraged to place it in the designated Lost and Found dropbox at the course where it was found.
  2. Reclaiming Your Disc:
    • If your disc is turned in and contains your contact information, GRDGC will attempt to notify you using the details provided on the disc.
  3. Hold Period:
    • Lost discs will be held in the Lost and Found for a period of 60 days from the date they are turned in.
    • After 60 days, unclaimed discs will be deemed abandoned and may be donated, recycled, or otherwise repurposed by the GRDGC.
