2009 Ice Bowl Results

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Greater Rochester Disc Golf Club's Annual Charity Ice Bowl at Parma Disc Golf Course.  For the fourth consecutive year we raised over $1000 for the host course's town Food Bank.

This year the grand total collected for the Parma Food Bank was $1145, and an additional 350lbs of food were generously donated by the 51 disc golfers that braved the cold temperatures for charity. Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication to local grassroots efforts here in Rochester!

Other Club News

Our club is always welcoming new members. The base membership is $20, and includes a 2009 GRDGC Bag Tag for our annual Bag Tag Challenge. The Bag Tag gives members an invitation to the year end event, which includes a catered lunch and great prizes. $30 and $50 levels of membership are available and include choices of discs and shirts.  Welcome to our latest member...Wayne Morford!

In an effort to recruit more female disc golfer members to our club we are offering a discounted membership of just $10. Welcome our first two female members...Jenn Digioia and Amanda Catherwood! 

Club members interested in joining the PDGA (or renewing) are eligible for a $5 discount on their dues. To join either the GRDGC or the PDGA contact Ryan Hand at 734-6397 today!

What's New

Cement tee pads are the new trend here in the Rochester area. Basil A. Marella was installed in May 2008 and we have just completed installing cement tee pads at Chili's Baker Park.  Remember membership requirement is that each member participate in at least one work day.  You can see who has participated based on an asterisk by names on the members list.

A big thanks to Dave Thomas for bringing the first ever Junior College Disc Golf Tournament to NYS.  It was held at MCC on April 18/19 2009 and was a great success and sure to be something continued annually.
