on 17 they cleared out all the bushes on the right side under the pine trees. i urge everyone to be really careful when playing this hole now. without the protection of these bushes it puts walkers on the path in real danger of being hit by an errant disc.

Played the course for the first time today. Loved it. I live in Albany and this is my 1st Rochester course. Only putt I hit outside 35 ft all day was on 5. Basket is not much of a looker but she's still catching! Shot 59 leaving a lot out there.

Keep up the good work - course was in great shape!

Thanks C-Mart...the Monroe County Parks Dept. has been doing quite a bit of work out there this year...they have planted alot of trees and shrubs along #16 and #17 which will change the way you plays those holes once they get a chance to grow.

The replacement basket for #5 has been ordered and just waiting for it to show up so we can swap it out.

What are the plans for the old #5 basket? I was thinking we can allow one of these welders to tinker it back into shape and then use it as a practice basket. Since Ellison is so popular lately it's hard to get some good putting practice in before rounds.

The plan is to try to straighten it out and use it as a practice basket

There is a nice, shiny new Mach III basket on hole 5 at Ellison.

Thanks Tony! I came through about a half hour after he put it in.

A sad sight for me today, Monday, 11-18-13.

Out my window I usually see an inviting 12th hole Tee marker pole and 11's basket in the background. Today there is only a lonely tee pad.

I'm going to head out to Basil tonight to immerse my sorrow in the warm, friendly light emitted from green glowing discs.

My my backup plan is to drown my sorrow in beer. Last year I learned my sorrow is a better swimmer than I am a drinker. I'm ready for the rematch.

I hope to raise my spirits Basil tonight. I hope to see you there.

I played Ellison last Friday, 11/15/13 and all the baskets were up. We missed hole #16 because we had no idea where the basket was until we walked by it on our way to hole #17. A very poor set up, hope that changes for next year.
