We just had our Birdie Bash here. I wasn't sure how fun the format would be, but it was an absolute blast! NO laying up, and Basil should be perfect with plenty of technical birdie holes.

Anyone interested in doing a Birdie Bash in May at Chili or Parma?

This is just my 2 cents, but if the Birdie Bash is like the Ace race then i don't think you will be able to do another Birdie Bash. Cause i know events like this, like the Ace race you can only register or run and event with in "EXAMPLE" every 35 miles of each other. Not sure the exact distance but its something weird like that.
You would have to contact them and find out.

Now I am sure you are just going about this cause you do not wan to play Basil, my suggestion is that you just play in the on in 2 weeks at Basil get your disc's. Then in May or June or later in any month you decide, we do a fun round or two with who wants to play and do are own little birdie bash with the discs that we already have. So we can try it out on a different course, i know a lot of people do like a 2 disc challenge and other fun games so we could set something up. Only problem is when you get into later months towards summer, there is a Rochester doubles, Rochester Singles & Gonzo Saturday double leagues all summer plus all the other events and tournaments.

So for me as long as it does not conflict with one of the league's or tournaments that I plan on doing this yr then i am always in for some disc golf fun.

I'm sure if I called up Steve Dodge he wouldn't have a problem with a second birdie bash in the area.

And no, I'm not just wanting to go to a birdie bash to get some redundant discs I already own. I really wanted to do the birdie bash because it seems like a much funner game than the ace race with the opportunity to be on the Vibram testing team(/drool).

I am pretty sure we could get at least 20 people to come out to Parma or Chili in May if we did one. I do think the main reason you have less than half the signups that the Ace race had is because everyone is just plain tired of Basil right now.

I'm not playing in the Bash because of work, not because it's at Basil, so... The more events the merrier so long as they don't conflict. I do think posting here and talking down on the event being held at Basil is a bit out of line but do as you see fit. As always, less talkie, more doie.

Well.................. I am sure i have played Basil more in 2 weeks then some of these guys played in the last 4 months. Yet they are the ones complaining they are "BASIL OUT" hahahaha

Try coming out 2 or 3 times a week plus do winter league every SATURDAY then you can talk about being Basil out.

Tsmart i like what your trying to do so try to contact who ever it is about the Birdie Bash and see for sure if we can do another one and i would be more then glad to join you at a new location like Parma or Chili if it does not conflict with other disc golf stuff.
