Hey nerdboy, what if you were to put the "earth" where the sphere is and have a flag or basket coming for the earth where rochester is? you got some good stuff. i appreciate all your efforts.

Here's the changes that were mentioned. Let me know what refinements could be made.

Here's the hotstamp- Max image area on a hotstamp is 5.25" That's why it looks smaller. Also, line thickness and area fills should be within acceptable tolerances. These are by no means finalized- so keep the suggestions coming! Does anyone have any photographs of the original club members- or any histories of them? I really want to do another design that incorporates the fact that Rochester had a huge part in birthing this sport. Thanks in advance- normanml@verizon.net

Here's another one. I really need more hi-res pics of people putting and driving. This is obviously a full color design. It could be reworked into a hotstamp too. Does Discraft have a wider maximum image area? I was just thinking of your RFDO discs- they went to the edge, didn't they?

Great work from both of you guys! We went so long without getting much of anywhere, but you two are on the ball. FYI, there are meetings regarding the Worlds every first monday night of the month at Tony Inzana's house. So the next one would be in a few days. Right now about 8-10 people show up to help plan the worlds week, I am sure they would appreciate your opinions, and you could get some direct feedback on designs if you brought printouts, or even just a laptop.

Here are links to a Pro tournament I shot in Ohio last summer. Only our own "The Kid" was in this one but since you are doing silhouettes it won't matter which you use.

I tagged along with the Hastings (Dan and Jim) on that one. Great time but watching Avery attack that course was something special even though Niko won it that weekend.

WOW !!!!! Thats all I have to say right now. I was away in Florida at a conference and did not want to pay the $10 /day to use my internet at the hotel, so I am just seeing these great logos by Nerdboy. We also have some great ideas from samhill. There is a meeting at my house tomorrow night at 7 (Monday Night) I would love to have you come over and let us all brainstorm together. Email if anyone has any questions. Address is 1314 English Road, near Basil Marella. Hope to see you there. Nerdboy, I have t-shirts and discs from the RFDO for sale as well.

Figures in Disc History

Though there's no local connection (that I know of) here is a photo of Frisbee© inventor Fred Morrison who just passed away in February.

Hello all- Here is what I worked on based on suggestions given at the meeting monday night (3.1.2010).
LogoMainex.jpg

Also another silver hotstamp design. Is it possible to get only silver hotstamps on every disc? Silver looks the best with every color disc I think. (I know type is wrong on hotstamp)

I like the designs Max -- think I like the bottom left corner one the best --- but it has to say 2011 PDGA Am Worlds so u might need to make that smaller . Also the bottom right part of NY is too close to the swirl -- you lose a little bit of the shape of NY. Just my opinion.

I dont know if we can all silver foil for the hotstamps, but we can certainly ask them that question... because silver looks great --- so does gold

:D hi tony- great suggestions and i'm glad you like them. One thing could you clear up for me? my notes specifically say not to include 'pdga'. At first, we had it in there, but then the group said it wasnt needed. let me know what the final should say. thanks for all the input guys- keep it coming!

Max,

They look great. I too like the bottom left the best.

That new hotstamp design is sweet as well. We are getting really close to having this completed to get our first design in circulation.

Hey Jeff,

Tony is the point man for most of this stuff. There's also a contact page on the worlds website and this one. Pm or email him what Scoontar's got so far, and tony will prolly share it with us at the next planning meeting, the first week of March.
