If You Find My Disc(s)

Postby FishyMack » Mon Aug 19, 2013 2:50 pm

All of my discs have my name, phone number, weight, and the word "Reward" written along the inside rim. I really do give out rewards for returned discs. Kids get $, adults get home made beer or wine.

I would offer cash for adults too. A lot of people don't drink, as well as the people who keep discs Im pretty sure would rather spend their own money on beer rather then be given something homemade.

If an adult refused my home made beverages (which most people agree are better than what you can buy) then I would offer them a cash reward, or perhaps see if they want a different disc of mine. Thanks for the thought.

How about just returning a disc because it's the right thing to do? If you were offered homemade wine or beer to give someone elses disc back to them and held out for cash, then that says quite a bit. Give the disc back and politely decline.

You are of course right, Doug, honesty is the best policy. When I find a disc I immediately call the owner (they may still be at that course!). Some people, unfortunately, need an incentive to do the right thing.
