Shore winds blue courses red and white tees

Postby lcra0825 » Thu Sep 1, 2011 11:07 am

This is one of my favorite courses but I like to play the white tees because it is a little shorter and can be done quicker. I was wondering when the distances for those tees will be recorde and if thats anything anyones thinking about

I am trying to measure the distances for the alternate tees at the blue course at Shorewinds. I am using 100 foot measuring tape and paces. I was wondering if it is straight line distance from the tee to the basket or is it fairway distance. Sometimes straight line distance migjht go straight through woods whereas the fairway distance woukld follow the fairway. Also I was measuring the distance between the tees and then subtracting them from the blue tees. Is that an appropriate wasy of measuring the distances. Finally does the Rochester Disc Golf Club have a laser measurer for rent or borrowing with deposit? That would make things a whole lot easier.

I believe you must measure by the fairway and not in a straight line.

We do not really as a club have anything to do with Shorewinds and I do not believe that we have a laser pointer/measurer either. I know that a couple people have distance wheels though
