Paint some 2X4s green, pound some nails through them, and put them pointy side up between the course and the suspected residence.

one of the Albany courses has this problem. The cops are called regularly but cannot really do anything about it. They can't catch them.

As mentioned B4,it is the Town of Chili's responsibility to address the problem.Yes,the DG community should report such damage, etc. but the bottom line is call Mr.Mike Curley at 585-889-4680 to report problems. We used this protocol years ago and it worked out just fine.

Maybe the town would put up some cheap fencing...??? although it would be ugly if it were chain link...split rail the perimeter,....hmmmm......actually, I know what would work real good, but if I post it here, the gun nannies would be out for my hide...lol.....dang kids.

Has anybody contacted the town or police to report them damaging the property?

Are they entering the property around the tee at #15?

https://maps.google.com/?ll=43.078958,- ... 9&t=h&z=18

This link to a Google map seems to show what look like 4-wheel tracks heading straight for the course. I report should probably be filed with the local police or county sheriff's dept.

So now not only the 4 wheelers but they have been tearing the place up with snow mobiles and they will lead tracks right back to where they came from! very little snow over wet ground is going to be terrible especially when they are running over tee pads! cant the cops follow the trails back? all over the course such disrespect for all the hard work that went into the place and they keep tearing down what ever is put up to stop them!

I doubt cops would make an effort to track them down. Maybe though, the the town could be convinced to put up some signs around the perimeter like 'no motorized vehicles allowed'. After all they have put in a lot of work and money into the park also. Then at least the cops would have a slightly better legal position.

It's actually against the law to ride a motorized recreational vehicle in any public park in NYS, I don't think signs are necessary for police intervention if we can provide them with enough evidence of who is doing it. After all the cops aren't going to hide out in a bush and catch them for us. Anyone got one of those wildlife cameras? These 4-wheelers should be registered , we just need to catch a glimpse of their license plates.

Mr. Crowley had been reprimanded for his previous indescretion, by yours truly. He did not appreciate his name being brought into this matter and mispelled at that.

Steve is one of the few consistent, hard workers that always steps up while most shy away from working on the courses.

He helped at Basil in the last days before the 2011 AM Worlds, when the DOG was w/ fever and I was planting the DOGS' polehole for the practice basket and painting circles the night before individual play.

Most recently, he has been invaluable in the process of putting in baskets at The Farm and making new #17 on the Spartan. - #304
