- 2016 Hearing-Impaired Championships
-Former GRDGC club member Patrick Harris, who now resides in Vermont, would like to have Rochester host the 2016 Hearing-Impaired Disc Golf Championships.
- He is looking for volunteers to assist with TD’ing the courses.
- Tony Inzana suggested the use of Chili or Parma and possibly a temp course at RIT for this event.
Course Plans:
- Need help in picking up trash on courses…bring extra bags to pick up what you can.
- 2nd set of baskets (long pin placements) being worked out.
- Gold-banned baskets will stay in place and new Black-banned baskets will be added but in tougher and longer positions.
- Same tee pads will be used for both baskets on each hole.
- Innova will be replacing the chains on the existing baskets at no cost. (June)

- Dan Hoock was in attendance to advise that he has gotten approvals from the Town of Gates to put a 9-hole course into Gates Town Park off of Lyell Ave. (between Elmgrove Rd. and Manitou Rd.).
- Workday on April 28th (at noon) to install collars.
- Clayton Woodard has approvals for a new course in Palmyra (off of Rt. 21, north of Rt. 31).
- No date as to when baskets will be in the ground and the course will be ready for play.
- He is currently looking for hole sponsorships.
Ryan Hand, Gonzo and GRDGC have committed $500/ea to sponsor three holes.
- The club was approached by the Webster Town Parks Dept. about the possibility of putting a course at North Ponds Park (north-side of 104 (between Holt Rd. and North Ave. (RT. 250))(park entrance is off of 250).
- Ryan Hand has designed a 9-hole and 18-hole layout to present to the Parks Dept.
- Ray Sanger and Ryan Hand have designed a layout in Ontario at an old landfill.
- Baskets have been bought and should be in the ground this Spring.

- Considerations are being made by the club to possibly donate the 18 Titan baskets and the 18 rubber flypads to The Apple Farm course for use privileges like tournaments and league nights.

- Tee pad at #18 had to be removed due to the fact that it was not on the park property.
- Ryan Hand will coordinate its replacement.

- Basil:
- Plummer has been asked to remove the large brush pile between #9 and #10.
- Chip date set for Aug. 21st.
- Ellison and Churchville:
- Request for cement pads has been denied and instead have early approvals for leveled areas with flypads.

- Ryan will be meeting with officials at MCC later this month to discuss the course.

- Tony Inzana advised that he needs to complete the sponsorship form and hopes to do that soon.
- 2011 Worlds Update:
- Tony Inzana and Gene Beaumont are currently the only ones planning on going to Ohio to volunteer to help the local club. Still looking for others who are interested in volunteering to help.
- Monroe County Sports Commission has committed to going to the Worlds to set up a booth to promote the Worlds in Rochester in 2011.
- First fund raiser disc logos are near completion with the help from Max Norman.
- Tony Inzana is working on getting some top Pros to come to town to give clinics during next year’s AM Worlds.
- Monroe County Sports Commission plans on putting ads in the PDGA magazine in each issue for the next year.
- Media:
- The D&C has been contacted about getting into this year’s Summer Guide.
- Plan to submit tournament results to the D&C following their completion.

- Gene Beaumont advised that the club has filed the tax exemption form with the IRS and then introduced Steve Pheterson who explained the certificates he created for the club for distribution to active members.

- Club Membership Responsibilities:
- Ryan Hand explained that in 2010 all members will be required to show up to a minimum of four work days and those that do not will not be able to participate in the club’s year-end championships.
- Website Update:
- Adam Brennan explained that he would like to utilize the group email more in the future.
- updated version of the Google Maps view of the courses should be out soon once provided to Adam by Gene Beaumont.
- Adam requested club members to submit photos for the site.

- 2011 Worlds Update:
- Tony Inzana provided an update on how the club is doing in regard to Worlds preparations. Progress is being made but the courses still need a lot of work.
- He is still looking for volunteers who are will to go to the 2010 Worlds in Ohio to help them with running it.
- The 2011 Worlds will run from July 23rd – 30th.
- The next Worlds meeting will be at his house on Feb 1st at 7pm.

- Graphic Design work for Worlds:
- Currently, we have five students from RIT and Roberts Wesleyan who have volunteered to come up with designs for the 2011 AM Worlds.
- Some early drawings have been done but nothing of note.
- Jeff Walker will post to other club's forums to see if anybody would be interested in submitting designs.
- We would also like to talk to Scott from Freetime to see if he is willing to help.
- January's Club Meeting:
- Sending a mass email was discussed to help get the word out.
- The agenda for the meeting was also discussed.
- Non-profit status update:
- Gene Beaumont advised that the lawyer has all of the paperwork and it has been sent to Albany.
- Course Setup Ideas:
- Ideas were tossed around about how to set up courses:
- Adding distances in fairway to basket
- Ensuring all baskets have 30' circle around them
- The need for an overall course chairman and individual course supervisors
- Greece Canal and Powder Mill Park courses:
- Greg Curcio gave an update about how he has walked the proposed Powder Mill Park course.
- Discussed the proposal that was submitted to the Monroe County Parks Dept. to solicit funds from the Greece Canal Park budget ($2,000,000), for park improvements, to build a course.
- Player's Party:
- A date for the party was discussed for either Wednesday or Thursday of the tournament week.
- Funds for the player's party were also discussed especially when it comes to the sounds board and lights needed for the bands.
- Jeff Walker suggested that he knew several bands that may be interested in playing during the tournament week.
- Tournament Activities:
- Ideas for Red Wing and Rhino games during tournament involving long drive finalists.
- Tony suggested that perhaps the FlyMart and Shuffle would be on the same night.
